Siem Reap day 2
Had a second day in Siem Reap. It was a long ride out to another amazing temple. The day was about 80K which doe snt sound that far until you take into account that it was over half dirt and 102'F. Pretty toasty day for a ride.
In addition to checing out the temple, we also met with some villagers and learned more about their daily life in the country. Their wells were very interesting. The have to pump water, filter it, boil it and only then is it safe to drink. So much work for something we take for granted.
Amazing 9th or 10th century temple.
Every last inch is carved. The carvings have held up amazingly well.
Typical house in village.
How to get a coconut ot palm fruit.
Making palm sugar.
