Takeo to Phnom Penh
Unfortunately today was Jeff's day for yucky belly. He's doing much better now and was able to eat mostbofndinnernwith the group, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
Todays riding was mostly dirt. We saw some beautiful water lillies right from the start.
This was followed by some very pretty rice paddies.
We saw some ducks released into a field to eat the extra grains of rice. They were all loaded up on to a truck and when they were released the all spilled out and swarmed around the field like insects or a school of fish eating the extra grains of rice and quacking.
Then we passed some oxen pulling carts.
We came around a cornernina small village and saw an elephant going down the road. The guides said that this is the Cambodian traveling salesman. He sells traditional medicine to the villagers going from town to town on an elephant.
This is where we stopped for lunch. There was a beautiful temple across the water from us.
This was my lunch time view.
After lunch we checked out the temple on the other side of the lake.
These smaller structures are built around the temple. They hold the cremated remains of the wealthy when the pass away.
This is a vey old temple, built in the 12th century.
This is me in my dress that I got in Saigon before dinner.
