Portugal - Last day

We had a lovely last day in Portugal.  I took a sea kayaking trip and Jeff and Wren played on the beach.  The swells were really big in the morning during my trip so the pictures were not so good.  I was trying to keep the camera dry, keep my kayak going in the right direction and not tip over with the next big wave but it was beautiful and so much fun!  The trip went through 5 caves along the alagarve coast.  The whole coast is lovely limestone cliffs and things poking out of the ocean.  Benagil is one that was beautiful but I couldn't manage to get a decent picture of, look it up, it's amazing.  Here are a couple of pictures I took that were not terrible.  The salty water totally fogged up my lens and the last few pictures I took were blurs.  Glad I took an older camera for this.  You will have to believe me that the real thing was much prettier.

After getting cleaned up and a nap for Wren we headed out to the point.  The seas had calmed and the sky's cleared and it was lovely.  We put Wren in the pack and walked along the cliff tops.  It was lovely.

We saw that they were giving motor boat tours.  We usually don't go for anything motorized but decided that it was the last day of vacation and it seemed like there was cool stuff that we just couldn't see from above so we took the tour.  It was just the 3 of us in a tiny motor boat with a guide and it was completely worth while.  There were tons of chimneys, caves, arches and grottos.  I didn't want to get the good camera wet so these are just phone photos.  The lightling was tricky

This one has a little bit of a light shadow due to the moving camera with the swells of the waves but it was still pretty.

Us!

There are more good pictures but I really don't have time to sort through them tonight, I have an early morning.  We had a fantastic last dinner but now it is time to pack up and head out.  Good bye Portugal!!!  You were wonderful!

(Tomorrow is a quick tour of Amsterdam on our way home so stay tuned)
